FIC: What You Wish For (Albus Severus/Scorpius, NC-17)

Reveals have just gone up over at hp_nextgen_fest, so it's time to claim my contribution. This may shock many of you, but I only wrote one fic this year, and it wasn't even James Sirius/Teddy! *gasp*

Like everybody and their mother, I wrote Albus Severus/Scorpius, but, in my defense, it's a fic I've been meaning to write since last year's fest. The wonderful this_bloody_cat actually gave me the idea during one of our chats while we were restarting the comm, and it sort of percolated and grew in the back of my mind until I could not ignore it any longer. Scorpius is not a character I generally feel particularly drawn to, so it was fun to get inside of his head for a little while. :)

Summary: Scorpius has been in love with James Sirius Potter for years to no avail, but that's all about to change, with a little help from a totally legal wish-fulfillment ritual. Now he just needs to get Albus on board with his plan, because Scorpius may be in love with James, but it's Albus he can't live without. Which is a totally normal thought to have about your best mate, right?
Author's Notes: Very loosely inspired by the movie Bedazzled, which is a really fun movie, and I totally recommend. I apologise if the magical mechanics in this one seem a little hand-wavy. I did my best, but it turns out magical wish-fulfilling rituals are kind of a bitch to nail down.

I seriously can't believe that one of my comments turned into something. And something this HUGE! I mean, seriously. Look at the size of it! It's longer than anything I've ever written! It makes me sad, that there are such few stories feat. Albus/Scorp (James/Scorp, Teddy/Scorp, etc.) over 10k -- because I love reading long stories and whatnot! I kind of went over the moon when you posted this :D :D :D And GOSH. I loved it.

Gosh, you have no clue how thrilled I am that you liked it! I sort of took your comment and totally ran with it--I'm rarely so inspired!

LOL, I actually thought it was going to be even longer, but I realized as I was writing that it would be more powerful if I was a little more succinct. Even still, you're right that there isn't often many Next Gen fics that are longer than 10k, so I was happy to pass that thresh-hold. :)

Ohhh this sounds so amazing! I can't wait to read it! I really really really need to get around to reading all the NGF fics, but the end of wedding season has been so busy for me!
