hp_goldenage Fic: A Good Night (Draco/Severus, NC-17)

Reveals have gone up over at hp_goldenage, so it's time to claim my fic! I really wanted to participate in this fest, because it's well modded, has a fun and unique theme, and it's open-pairing, and there are fewer of those fests out there these days. Unfortunately, I really, really struggled with this one. My writing muse has been quite depleted these past several months, and RL was pretty hectic for awhile there, so I was genuinely thinking I might have to drop from a fest for the first time ever. In the end, I did manage to produce a little something, but I'm not quite happy with it. The pairing I chose probably didn't help, as I really, really struggle writing Severus for some reason. OH, well. I'm happy I was able to participate, and especially happy I was able to contribute a rarer pairing, as there was a lot of H/D in the fest, and I'm really feeling rare pairs lately.

If you didn't keep up with the fest, I definitely recommend checking out their masterlist and looking through the options. Drarry fans will find plenty, and there was a nice mixture of rarer pairs as well. I particularly liked this Minerva/Severus fic by torino10154, this Pansy/Hermione fic by human_veil, and this Ron/Harry fic by evandar! You can also check out my fic, linked below. I played bad mod to Shelly's good mod and haven't managed to comment on a single thing BUT I really loved yours and was thrilled to have that pairing in the fest.

I do know what you mean about struggling a bit though. I'm very hot and cold lately, predominately the latter.

I feel you on the comment struggle! I tried to read/comment on a lot of the fics, but I wasn't as good about it as I usually try to be in fests I participate in. :/ But thank you! I wanted to write it since I like the pairing and so few people write it these days, but it was definitely a struggle.

Haha, yes! Lots of cold with a bit of hot thrown in.

Thanks, lovely! And I'm sorry I didn't read yours! I don't think I realized until this fest that Bill/Teddy was a squicky pairing for me for some unknown reason. :/
