wincestbigbanghp_goldenage so I can finally claim my Ron/Hermione fic that I've been wanting to write since last year's fest! I ended up claiming a different prompt in 2020 but this one stayed in my mind and I figured I'd revive it for 2021! I love this pairing though I rarely actually write them, so this was fun to play around with. :D

It was a relatively small fest this year with a large variety of pairings, so there should hopefully be something that appeals to all! All the fics are under 10k, so it's also a great chance to maybe read a pairing that you wouldn't normally be drawn to. :D
hp_goldenage is still open for claiming for their 2021 fest! Submissions are due in one month on February 15 and, as always, there's a ton of variety in the prompt list! But, if nothing appeals or if you have a plot bunny you'd already like to write, they also accept self prompts!hp_goldenage is currently accepting prompts until November 14 for their 2021 fest! You can leave up to 7 prompts and any HP pairing/characters/genre/etc is allowed as long as all main characters are over the age of 50 years old! There's always a lot of variety in the fest, and they could definitely use some more prompts!hp_goldenage so it's time for me to claim my contribution! hp_goldenage!hp_goldenage! It's an open pairing HP fest with the only requirement being that the fic must revolve around characters/pairings that are 50+ years old. It's honestly one of my favorite fests, as there isn't a ton of content with older characters, and there are so many cool & new things you can explore. Personally, I love coming up with common tropes and thinking about ways those tropes might work similarly or different with older characters. ANYWAY, it's tons of fun and you don't need to plan on claiming anything to leave a prompt. I'd love to participate this year if a prompt grabs me, so I selfishly would like ALL the prompts to choose from. :D Check out the prompting post below!hp_goldenage, so it's time to claim my fic! I really wanted to participate in this fest, because it's well modded, has a fun and unique theme, and it's open-pairing, and there are fewer of those fests out there these days. Unfortunately, I really, really struggled with this one. My writing muse has been quite depleted these past several months, and RL was pretty hectic for awhile there, so I was genuinely thinking I might have to drop from a fest for the first time ever. In the end, I did manage to produce a little something, but I'm not quite happy with it. The pairing I chose probably didn't help, as I really, really struggle writing Severus for some reason. OH, well. I'm happy I was able to participate, and especially happy I was able to contribute a rarer pairing, as there was a lot of H/D in the fest, and I'm really feeling rare pairs lately. torino10154, this Pansy/Hermione fic by human_veil, and this Ron/Harry fic by evandar! It's a multi-pairing fest, and as long as all parties in the pairing are over 50 years old, anything goes! There are always a lot of really amazing and interesting fics that come out of this fest, and I have a blast coming up with prompts, since in some ways, playing with older characters allows you to explore different themes and issues. Anyway, you all should totally head on over to the comm and leave all of your wonderful and creative prompts so there are plenty of options to choose from come claiming!

hp_goldenage went up yesterday, and I figured I'd rec some of my favorites from the fest. It's not a huge fest by any means, but I like that it makes things a bit more manageable. The quality is excellent and there are a number of different ratings and pairings to pick through. I'm just reccing a couple of my absolute favorites, but I really recommend checking out the masterlist for more amazing works. It really is a wonderful fest. :D
