I've been really enjoying writing femslash recently (can you tell?) and the hpfemslash-minifest on Tumblr has been a great excuse to write a little something ever month. I do find writing femslash to be a very different experience compared to writing slash, so I've enjoyed having a chance to build those muscles, so to speak. :D

Notes: Title is from the song "One Day" by Melody Gardot. Fun fact: I wrote this fic with beds, and then went back and reread the bit from Deathly Hallows describing the room to add in some details and realised they didn't have beds, they had hammocks! *facepalm* So now you get hammock sharing instead!

Author's Note: So I'm actually blaming anemonen for this one! Because this was totally inspired by the football scene in the 1D fic you recced, These Inconvenient Fireworks. All I could think of while reading was, "There should be a scene like this for Quidditch in Harry Potter. And this time there should be fucking. Really, why aren't they fucking on the field right now?" Anyways, Sirius and James immediately came to mind, so I wrote about 400 words of this right away, and then never came back to it. I figured, what better time to finish than for Sirius's birthday. Only, I didn't quite make it...Sorry, Sirius! I hope you accept this (slightly) belated birthday porn. :D

I'm not sure these *technically* count as Rectober recs, since I'm not including *why* I'm reccing them. But I needed to repost my HP art rec posts, because it was starting to get too big for LJ to handle, and I figured Rectober would be as good a time as any to do that.

So here, have a ton of H/D art recs! These span from ~2007 to last week, and are some of my most favorite pieces of art for the pairing that I've seen around.

This list is by no means exhaustive. Mostly art hosted on LJ and for fests, because I find deviantart kind of overwhelming, and if I kept track of every piece of art ever, I'd be here for awhile. But if any of you guys have art recs for me, I'd love to look at the pretty!
