I started watching the Shadowhunters television show last month, and though it's not exactly high quality television, it's a lot of good fun, especially as a fan of the books coming in with a decent amount of background. I've been a fan of Malec for literal years, and it's exciting to see a ton of new fic flood AO3 with the television show. :D

The majority of these fics are using the Shadowhunters television show canon, but there are a couple that are specific to the books, and several that mix them together. For the ones that are definitely books only, I'll try to include that in the notes section.

Another month, another daily_deviant fic! One of my favorite parts about this comm, is that the various themes and the ways they can be interpreted mean that I often get a ready-made excuse to write random plot-bunnies that were already hopping around in my head. I wanted to write something like this after reading a particular scene in a book, but it likely would have languished as a vague desire, never to be realized, if it weren't for the stars aligning with November's theme. This is, again, a bit different from my usual, but I really do think this community is the place to push boundaries and experiment outside my comfort zone! :D

Summary/Description: The entire family—except for Hugo, that is—is thrilled that Victoire has come to live with Ron and Hermione to watch the children while their parents are at work. Some people seem happier than others. A little too happy.
Author's Notes: In this fic, Ron and Hermione had kids a little later in life, so 18-year-old Victoire is 10 years older than Hugo.

This was inspired by a scene in the book The Ocean at the end of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. Not exactly spoilery, but if you've read the book, you should get the reference. :D
