Be warned, I am a huge fan of smut and almost all of my recs are rated R or NC-17, so if you are looking for lower-rated fics, this is not the place for you. This is also almost exclusively slash pairings, though every once in awhile a het pairing manages to sneak its way in there.

This year I participated in hd-wireless for the first time EVER, which was a lot of fun! As usual, I bounced around reading in all sorts of fandoms over the past few months, and here are a handful of favorites! We've got some of my fav fics from the recently concluded harrydracobang, several fics from writcraft because I read and commented on 40 of their fics I'd not yet read for their birthday a few weeks back, and then a bunch of other random fics! I've decided to attempt to reinstate my ~TBR backlog reading challenge~ in which I shoot to read at least one Drarry and one non-HP fic a week from my "Marked for Later" list on AO3. The Drarry fics might get paused as I'll likely sub in newer postings from hd_fan_fair as that starts posting soon, as well as all the fics I'll be reading/proofing for hd_erised, but my TBR list is getting out of control so it's time to start hacking away at it. :D

I feel like I didn't read much fanfic this past month, but I think that's partly because I read one GIGANTIC fanfic and then had a bit of a fanfic hangover, LOL. Still mostly reading SPN fic, but some Hobbit stuff snuck in since one of my all-time favorite fics finished posting and, of course, I had to binge re-read the whole thing to celebrate.

In a delightful turn of events, I've actually been reading quite a lot of HP fanfic over the past few months, particularly in September! Not only have I been trying to follow along with several fests, but I joined the gameofdrarry Wizarding Hearts game, which is essentially a challenge that runs through the end of the year and encourages you to read, comment, and rec Drarry fics for various tropes to gain points. Your girl LOVES a challenge (and a spreadsheet *heart eyes*) and I've been having a ton of fun working through my TBR list and finally having the motivation to read some excellent fic! As such, these are mostly Drarry recs, but there are a couple of other pairings thrown in for good measure. :D

Hi friends!

Life has been full stop over at chez Grace (I don't recommend moving for the first time in 7 years in the middle of a pandemic and national protests) but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the THREE amazing fics that have posted for me over the past few weeks!

First, I got not one, but TWO fics over at daily_deviant's Banging Birthday, which was a complete surprise, and an utter delight!

The first one was a fantastic Harry/Ron number, Kintsugi: Precious Scars, that takes place the summer after the war and gave me ALL the feels. I adore this pairing, and I really loved the way the author captured them and their relationship. :D

THEN we got my surprise fic for my Albus/James fuck or die prompt, Splat, which is CHOCK FULL of Wincest vibes from Supernatural, which is something I 110% can get behind. It's definitely a bit gruesome, but in a way that totally works and that I love!

Finally, I got a gift over at HP rarepair_shorts! This is my first year submitting a wishlist and it was so exciting to get this delightful Harry/Sirius fic, Score by wynnebat, which features established relationships, Quidditch, and a Sirius Lives AU (oh, and some super hot smut!)

Definitely recommend checking all three of these fabulous fics out, and while you're there, maybe seeing if anything else posted for the fests catches your eye!
