It was my birthday yesterday and I wanted to take a quick moment to thank everybody who reached out to me! I got a number of really lovely, sweet, touching messages from fandom friends, and they truly meant the world to me! <3

I also wanted to specifically point to the two beautifully creations that were gifted to me yesterday! Art AND Fic! I'm so lucky. :D

First we have the magnificent julchen_in_red, who created a seriously STUNNING piece of paper fanart based on my 50 Reasons ficlet, To Show Off New Lingerie (Drarry), which you can see on their tumblr, here! I am SO in awe of their amazing skills, and am beyond touched that they created something based on one of my fics!!

And then the fabulous shiftylinguini wrote this wonderfully sexy bit of Draco/James Sirius, forget what I need, give me what I want (and it should be fine) that was just as clever and engaging and hot as one would expect from such a talented writer!

Everybody should definitely check both of those pieces out and give them both ALL the love because they are kind and talented and supportive and wonderful and definitely made my birthday that much brighter. ♥

harrydracobang concluded posting last week, and it was so much fun to take part in and mod! There were 20 novel-length fics as part of the fest, all with some seriously stunning works of art! I was really blown away by the quality of both the fic and art, and so touched by the wonderful feedback my own fic has received. My birthday was this weekend and I had a wonderful day, thanks, in no small part, to you wonderful people in fandom!

I didn't want any big ~thing~ for my birthday, so the day itself was pretty chill. My roommate and I got brunch, did some shopping (I bought a lot of makeup and some Christmas presents), went for sushi, and watched Chicago! Roommate has a very bizarre dislike of musicals, so getting her to watch it with me was quite the achievement. :)

To be honest, IRL birthdays just aren't a big deal for me. I don't have anything against them at all, but it's been a long time since they've really felt special or any different from a regular day. But fandom has a way of making things amazing. Honestly, the best part of my birthday was hearing from so many of you guys. Your emails and messages and gifts and well wishes really meant a lot, and I'm so thankful to know you all! <3

OMG this fic is AMAZING! Seriously. I adore the a/b/o trope and the author did a seriously fantastic job incorporating so many wonderful werewolf and a/b/o dynamics. The relationship between Teddy and James is beyond fantastic and the sex, and the effect of the heat on them both, all of it was wonderful. There were so many amazing, charming moments, and James's voice felt wonderfully real and believable. It's a tried and true trope, but the author twists and modifies bits and pieces just slightly enough to make it feel engaging and fresh and new. LOVE!

The background theme of Pride was wonderful, and the whole thing was a really awesome read.

The 2015 H/D Pottermore Fair over at hd_fan_fair has officially wrapped up! This was a really interesting fest, and while I know a lot of people have mixed feelings on the Pottermore site, I thought it was a cool way to take some of this extra content JKR has provided and make it our own. :D There were some really cool prompts which lead to some super clever submissions. Another one of my prompts! This was one of my silliest ones, and I was so thrilled when I saw it was claimed, because I was super curious what the creator would come up with. And this is so much fun! Draco channeling Snape at his most potiony-dramatic, and Harry delightfully exasperated. The three art panels art gorgeous, and the little drabble to go along with is perfect. Though, I must point out that, while all of it is fabulous, the second art panel, where we get to see Draco in his potion's lab, is seriously freaking awesome and impressive. I seriously stared for five minutes straight, zooming in on all of the little jars and giggling with delight at all of the little details. So much fun!

And while the idea of doing actual porn - like, porn with another person’s dick in his ass porn - kind of made him uncomfortable, jerking off by himself in front of a camera sounded okay. If you’re good at something, never do it for free, right?
Prostitution-type fics can be a little hit or miss for me, but I really enjoyed this one. I loved how both Stiles and Derek came across here, and I think the potential creepy factor was definitely reduced by giving us both POVs. The sex was hot, and it was sweet watching them get to know each other. Overall a really enjoyable read. :)
