My birthday was this weekend and I had a wonderful day, thanks, in no small part, to you wonderful people in fandom!

I didn't want any big ~thing~ for my birthday, so the day itself was pretty chill. My roommate and I got brunch, did some shopping (I bought a lot of makeup and some Christmas presents), went for sushi, and watched Chicago! Roommate has a very bizarre dislike of musicals, so getting her to watch it with me was quite the achievement. :)

To be honest, IRL birthdays just aren't a big deal for me. I don't have anything against them at all, but it's been a long time since they've really felt special or any different from a regular day. But fandom has a way of making things amazing. Honestly, the best part of my birthday was hearing from so many of you guys. Your emails and messages and gifts and well wishes really meant a lot, and I'm so thankful to know you all! <3

In addition to all of the lovely virtual gifts and messages, some marvelous people also created things for me! I just ADORE the fandom concept of creating gifts. There's something so wonderfully touching about it. Even though I haven't physically met so many of you, you're all still taking your valuable free time and creating something with me specifically in mind. That's just...it's so amazing and inspiring and I'm seriously tearing up just thinking about how thoughtful and fabulous everybody in fandom is.

capitu created an amazing letter from Harry regarding my 50 Reasons to Have Sex Series, and it's awesome and hilarious.

cap_bookworm drew me this awesome birthday picture with me (as my icon, of course) celebrating my birthday. It's beyond sweet and made me unbelievably happy.

lq_traintracks wrote me the most brilliant James Sirius/Teddy drabble. How she manages to deliver such hotness and intimacy and gorgeous imagery in only 100 words is a testament to her insane writing talent.

_melodic_ wrote me this fantastically hot James Sirius/Teddy fic that incorporates so many of my likes! It's sweet and smutty and basically the most perfect thing ever.

shiftylinguini wrote me an AMAZING James Sirius/Teddy fic based on one of my previous prompts. James and Teddy are just brilliant here, and I am eagerly awaiting part two! :D

blithelybonny wrote me pretty much the hottest James Sirius/Teddy fic of all time. It's got role play and fantasizing and aspects of the a/b/o trope and Teddy using his metamorphmagus abilities in new and exciting ways.

And can I just say, I seriously love how everybody who wrote something for me went the James Sirius/Teddy route? It's awesome. As my secondary OTP and the one that definitely has fewer fic created for it, it was amazing to see such an influx of amazing fic!
