AKA that time when Grace finally discovered how much she loves [livejournal.com profile] earlgreytea68's writing, and decided to work through her entire masterlist. Literally the only author being recced here, but she inspired some serious reading...

Title: The Haunting of 221B Baker Street
Author: [livejournal.com profile] earlgreytea68 | favicon earlgreytea68
Pairing(s): Sherlock/John
Rating: R
Word Count: 10,388
Content/Notes: major character death, ghost!fic, ghost!sherlock
Summary: In which Sherlock Holmes is a ghost.
Really unique fic with Sherlock having actually died after Reichenbach and haunting 221B. Definitely some melancholy themes, but I thought the ending was suitably satisfying.

Title: Working the Edges
Author: [livejournal.com profile] earlgreytea68 | favicon earlgreytea68
Pairing(s): Sherlock/John, background Lestrade/Mycroft
Rating: R
Word Count: 56,089
Content/Notes: AU: Sports, AU: Olympics
Summary: No matter where you put Sherlock and John, they click. Including the Winter Olympics.
Really lovely, charming read. John was aces as a hockey player, and I really liked Sherlock as a figure skater. It definitely felt very much like them, even though they were at the Olympics. Sweet, relatively light read.

Title: Letters Series (5 Fics)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] earlgreytea68 | favicon earlgreytea68
Pairing(s): Sherlock/John
Rating: R
Word Count: 71,463
Content/Notes: implied switching
Summary: While he's dead, Sherlock writes John letters.
Lovely post-Reichenbach series with a gorgeous amount of feels. Adored John and Sherlock's relationship here and how clearly, absolutely in love they were. Some sadder themes, but they were all handled really beautifully.

Title: Saving Sherlock Holmes
Author: [livejournal.com profile] earlgreytea68 | favicon earlgreytea68
Pairing(s): Sherlock/John, background Lestrade/Mycroft
Rating: R
Word Count: 139,494
Content/Notes: AU: Boarding School, AU: Alternate First Meeting, underage
Summary: Sherlock Holmes, schoolboy. Yeah, that basically sums it up.
Wonderful Sherlock AU that takes place when Sherlock is a teenager. This has a very canon feel, but it essentially plays with the idea of, what if Sherlock met John sooner? How would that have changed things for him? I adore the way canon events and characters are incorporated in here, and the relationship between all of the characters is just wonderfully done. Really awesome read!

Title: Baseball Series (4 Fics)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] earlgreytea68 | favicon earlgreytea68
Pairing(s): Sherlock/John
Rating: R
Word Count: 146,072
Content/Notes: AU: Sports
Summary: Sherlock Holmes is a pitcher and John Watson is a catcher. No, no, no, it's a baseball AU.
I was a little skeptical of this one, since baseball is such an American sport, and NOT one I can picture Sherlock playing, but it totally works! The author does a brilliant job with the characterizations, so it really feels like Sherlock and John playing baseball. Fun and charming read that just flew by.

Title: Nature and Nurture Series (6 Fics)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] earlgreytea68 | favicon earlgreytea68
Pairing(s): Sherlock/John, background Lestrade/Mycroft
Rating: R
Word Count: 220,445
Content/Notes: kid!fic, parentlock, babylock, marriage!fic
Summary: The British Government accidentally clones Sherlock Holmes. Which brings a baby to 221B Baker Street.
Oh this is such a lovely series! Little Baby Oliver (aka Clone Sherlock) is too freaking cute, and I just adored the relationship between John and Sherlock. They figure things out relatively quickly, which means we gets lots and lots of awesome domestic, relationship goodness! Sherlock is maybe a smidgen fanon-y, but he was really wonderful in the fic, and seeing him with his new little family was fabulous.
