January Sherlock Recs
My roommate and I have been spacing out the new season so we can savor it, which means I have need an outlet for all of my Sherlock feels. Which means fanfic! :)

Title: Manual Dexterity
Author: favicon wearitcounts
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 1,849

Summary: Sherlock's got really nice hands, actually.
Sherlock absolutely has fantastic hands/fingers and this fic is basically part of my headcanon for these two!

Title: You Give Me Fever
Author: [livejournal.com profile] michi_thekiller | favicon michi_thekiller
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 16,122
Notes: AU: 1960's, bottom!john, first time, underage, car!sex, dirty talk, size kink
Summary: Thou givest fever when we kisseth, fever with thy flaming youth
Fever I'm afire; fever, yea, I burn forsooth
"He's the kind of boy you want to take apart."
Gratuitous Greaserlock. It's essentially 16k of mostly-porn.
This was crazy good! So well written and such a creative concept. And ridiculously hot, with an innocent virginal John and a seductive greaser!Sherlock.

Title: Evidence of Human Life
Author: [livejournal.com profile] thesardine | favicon thesardine
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 16,906
Notes: bottom!john, biting, marking, light D/s
Summary: Sherlock's sanity deteriorates while he and John are stranded on a deserted island.
God, how do I even describe this? It is super well-written and so enthralling. It's...not dark exactly, but it definitely goes a bit into the psychological realities/consequences that would go with being stranded on an island, and it handles them so well! I love Sherlock's characterization in this and his relationship with John. The sex is hot and desperate and sweet, and the ending is wonderful.

Title: 26 Pieces
Author: [livejournal.com profile] lanning | favicon Lanning
Pairing: Sherlock/John, past Sherlock/
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 28,236
Notes: bottom!john, talk of switching, torture
Summary: Mycroft gives Sherlock the apparently simple task of solving a puzzle box containing a stolen microchip. It isn't simple.
I really, really loved this fic, especailly the relationship between Sherlock and John. it is lovely and believable and the evolution just felt so natural. the torture scenes get a bit graphic, so beware of that, but it all turns out okay, I promise! Mycroft was really well done as well, and, of course, the sex was beautiful and brilliant!.

Title: Nothing to Make a Song About
Author: [livejournal.com profile] emmagrant01 | favicon emmagrant01
Pairing: Sherlock/John, past John/Mary, past Sherlock/OMC
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 36,833
Notes: future!fic, first time
Summary: When Sherlock returned from his faked death, John could not forgive him for the deception and broke off their friendship. Ten years later, John returns to London in search of yet another new beginning. Sherlock, not surprisingly, is waiting.
This fic gave me so many angsty feels, but it was so, so good! Fantastic and real and wonderful.

Title: Electric Pink Hand Grenade
Author: [livejournal.com profile] truths_in_lies | favicon BeautifulFiction
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 36,833
Notes: sick!fic, hurt/comfort, first time
Summary: "If Sherlock's brain is a hard drive, then these attacks are an electro-magnetic pulse." Sherlock Holmes does not do anything by half, not even a migraine. It falls to John to witness one of the greatest minds he has ever known tear itself apart, and he must do his best to help Sherlock pick up the pieces.
The writing in this fic is seriously gorgeous. The way the effects of Sherlocks' illness are described is so creative and fantastic. Both John and Sherlock are wonderfully portrayed and their relationship is fantastic. The way the author progresses their relationship is realistic and perfectly paced.
