What I'm Reading

What did you recently finish reading?

The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting by K.J. Charles
This author is one of the few I automatically buy and books like this one are exactly why! Such a treat.

Years of Grace by Margaret Ayer Barnes
I had to go HUNTING to find this Pulitzer Prize Winner read and ended up joining a virtual library and literally reading scanned pages of it, because I am #dedicated. But I actually quite enjoyed. Very Jane Austen vibes.

Potiki by Patricia Grace
Another book I just picked up from the library for my Around the World Challenge, this one for New Zealand and by an indigenous author. I didn't *love* this one, though I appreciated the style and concept.

Four Hundred Souls: A Community History of African America, 1619-2019 edited by  Ibram X. Kendi & Keisha N. Blain
I really enjoyed this! It's longish but the way it's broken up into short sections made it feel very manageable and I really loved the concept.

What are you currently reading?

The Tarot Sequence by K.D. Edwards
Queer urban fantasy series that I'm enjoying so far. The first 2 of a planned 9 books have been released + a couple of free codas, and I'm currently mostly through book 2 and really enjoying. Bummed I have to wait for the next one, but hopefully not too long because he's editing the MS now.

Kink edited by R.O. Kwon
Current non-fiction read.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Pansies by Alexis Hall
Next MM romance read. This has been on my TBR list since it came out... 3 years ago.

A Small Place by Jamaica Kincaid
Just picked up this extended essay on a recommendation for my Around the World Challenge for Antigua & Barbados.

Guard of Honor by James Gould Cozzens
Next Pulitzer Prize Winner read.

Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo
Next in my Around the World Challenge for UK - England.
