Most recent non-fiction read. Added this because it won Goodread's Best of Non-fiction last year, and I thought it was interesting, but I wouldn't have voted for it over other awesome NF books that came out last year

Les Misérables by Victor Hugo
Most recent read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for France. This was the very first book I added to my goodreads TBR when I created an account 10 years ago... Finally got around to it and I really enjoyed it!

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith
This has been on my TBR list for ages and I finally read it! Honestly I thought it was brilliant and wish I'd found it sooner!

The Secret to Superhuman Strength by Alison Bechdel
Ended up picking this up from the library after seeing it on starfishstar's book round-up, and I really enjoyed it! I was a little worried some anti-fat/healthism rhetoric would sneak in given the book's topic, but I was really pleasantly surprised at how little a focus on weight/appearance there was.
