What I'm Reading

What did you recently finish reading?

Women, Culture, and Politics by Angela Y. Davis
Most recent non-fiction read, and while the content was solid (if a bit dated) I thought the collection lacked a certain cohesion.

Trafalgar Sunrise by Danielle Lim
Next read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Singapore. It takes place in 2003 during the SARS outbreak and it was super surreal reading post-pandemic, but I very much enjoyed it.

Fool Hearts by Emmy Sanders
Recent MM romance read, and despite there being a lot of things I didn't like about it, somehow I still enjoyed reading.

Humboldt's Gift by Saul Bellow
Most recent Pulitzer Prize winner read. Some great prose and insights but way too long and with far too many random tangents.

What are you currently reading?

White Trash: The 400-Year Untold History of Class in America by Nancy Isenberg
Current non-fiction read.

Ten Steps to Nanette: A Memoir Situation by Hannah Gadsby
Current audiobook listen.

The Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Stories by H.P. Lovecraft
Somehow I've gone my entire life without reading a single Lovecraft story. Figured I'd take a crack at the source material for so many references.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Confident Women: Swindlers, Grifters, and Shapeshifters of the Feminine Persuasion by Tori Telfer
Next non-fiction read.

Havana Year Zero by Karla Suárez
Next read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Cuba.

Davo by NR Walker
Next MM romance read.

Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
I liked, but didn't love, Americanah by this author, and have been wanting to read more of their fiction.
