I haven't talked about it too much here, but I signed up this year for the Merlin aftercamlann big bang. I've had this Arthur/Merlin Modern AU fic idea in my head since last year, but it's not my primary fandom and I wasn't sure I'd ever actually finish it. But that's one of the reasons I love fests, because they give you deadlines and motivation! :D

This is the longest non-HP fic I've written, and I had a lot of fun playing with two very different characters. I've also been wanting to write a BDSM fic that goes beyond just some light D/s, and overall I'm really pleased with out it came out. Especially because I just *barely* squeaked in over the word count minimum... :D

I also got the most AMAZING artist, karovie! This was the first time anybody's ever created art based on something I've written, and it was a beyond cool experience. I totally lucked out, and it was great working with her. :D
