Fests and advent fics are posting everywhere and it is GLORIOUS! I hope you are all enjoying it all. With all of the great stuff posting, it can be really easy for great things to get lost in the shuffle, or for people to feel overwhelmed at what fests to follow or what fic to read next. Which is why I want to put in a quick plug for RECS! At this time of year, I think recs are especially helpful, as they can give busy readers a place to start, or brings things to people's attention that they might have somehow missed. I've heard from numerous people that sometimes the holiday postings are so overwhelming, that they actually end up not reading at all. Which is why recs can be awesome. Not to mention, the more people we have reccing, the more diverse tastes we'll have represented, and the more likely it is that any given work will be recced. Yay!

In other news, some of you may have missed it, because it started posting a smidge later than other fests, and it hosts on a different platform, but daily_deviant's Kinky Kristmas fest is posting now! This is one of my favorite December fests, as there is always a ton of smutty goodness for a variety of pairings. Given the rare pair nature of many of the pairings, and the fact that the fest is on InsaneJournal, the fest sometimes doesn't receive the love it deserves, so I highly recommend keeping an eye on the comm and reading/commenting on what you can. The quality over there is always really high. :D

So far there's been a delightfully naughty Severus wanking fic, a seriously smoking Draco/Harry/Teddy fic, and a dirtyhotwrong Charlie/James Sirius number. And there are more fantastically sexy pairings to come!
