What did you recently finish reading?

How to Argue with  a Racist by Adam Rutherford
Most recent non-fiction read and a bit meh, mostly because the title was pretty misleading.

A Bell for Adano by John Hersey
Most recent Pulitzer Prize winner read! This was a pretty quick read and decently enjoyable.

The Knight and the Necromancer Series by A.H. Lee
I so enjoyed this MM romance series + free on KU, which is always a plus!

Instant Karma by Melissa Meyer
Currently on pause because my hold lapsed at the library.

Current non-fiction read!

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins
This is the new Hunger Games prequel, and I'm a little over halfway through. Very mixed feelings so far...

I've really enjoyed this author's works so far and a friend just gifted me this one so I'm looking forward to reading!

MM Holiday Shorts
There is currently a giveaway with over 180 MM romance novellas and short stories. Several of my fav writers are participating so I snagged about 20 books and will be reading these throughout the week!

ohh, some of those holiday shorts look good. any authors you'd recommend? i don't recognise many names on the list.

Some of the authors I picked up were: Eden Finley, Jordan Castillo Price, Kaje Harper, Parker St. John, Charlie Novak, Anyta Sunday, Lynn Van Dorn, Layla Reyne, Lily Morton. I also got the one by A.H. Lee but it's a spin-off from a series of theirs (which I loved) and might be less fun as a standalone. Can't vouch for the quality for sure since I've not read most of them yet--I've found even solid MM romance writers struggle sometimes with the short story!

Thank you! It's a good start. :) I know Layla Reyne, Jordan Castillo, and Lily Morton, but the others are new to me. (Not that I've read these shorts before anyway.) I downloaded the shorts from Tami Veldura (I vaguely know her from twitter), and Brittany Cournoyer and Amy Aislin as well. The latter two look like typical cutesy holiday romance you'd find in a supermarket, lol. like the two I read last month that were depressingly straight.
