What did you recently finish reading?

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari
Super fascinating non-fiction read!

Why Goats Smell Bad and Other Stories from Benin by Raouf Mama
Most recent read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Benin. It's a collection of folktales from the Fon people in Benin and I thought it was super interesting!

Chronicles of Alsea Book 6 by Fletcher DeLancey
I enjoyed this one, but probably my least favorite of the series so far purely from a pacing/structural standpoint.

The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich
2021 Pulitzer Prize Winner read! It was okay, but I didn't love it as much as I wanted/as much as I've enjoyed most of the more recent PP wins.

Head Games (Wages of Sin #3) by Neve Wilder & Onley James
Newest book in a MM series I've been generally enjoying. Not my favorite, but good for a bit of mindless fun.

What are you currently reading?

Women and Other Monsters: Building a New Mythology by Jess Zimmerman
Current nonfiction read.

Hidden Wolves Series by Kaje Harper
Current MM romance series. I've read the first 4 books and have 2 more to go! Really interesting take on werewolves.

Early Autumn by  Louis Bromfield
Current Pulitzer Prize Winner read.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Sirena Selena vestida de pena by Mayra Santos-Febres
Nextread for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Puerto Rico.

The F*ck It Diet: Eating Should Be Easy by Caroline Dooner
Next nonfiction read.

In Deeper Waters by F.T. Lukens
New queer YA fantasy standalone, which is basically my jam, so I'm very curious to read!

Lacuna by N.R. Walker
Next MM romance read. Walker's coming out with a new book in the next week so I'd like to read this one so I can clear a space for the new book on my KU.
