What I'm Reading

What did you recently finish reading?

Cultish: The Language of Fanaticism by Amanda Montell
Most recent non-fiction read and I really loved it! Super fascinating.

Hurricane Child by Kacen Callender
Audiobook listen as part of my Around the World Reading Challenge for the Virgin Islands and I was a bit underwhelmed.

Simon Snow Trilogy by Rainbow Rowell
Reread the first two books and then read the final one! Overall I still quite enjoyed it. Fun nods to HP but still distinct. Some minor quibbles but overall a fun/enjoyable queer fantasy trilogy.

What are you currently reading?

The Problem of Alzheimer's: How Science, Culture, and Politics Turned a Rare Disease into a Crisis and What We Can Do About It by Jason Karlawish
Current non-fiction read.

The Galaxy, and the Ground Within (Wayfarers #4) by Becky Chambers
Current audiobook listen!

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
Current read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Sweden.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Lacuna by N.R. Walker
Next MM romance read. I'm going to read this one. Really.

Inheritance (Inheritance Cycle #4) by Christopher Paolini
Final book! It's been quite fun doing this reread and this is the only book in the series I've only read once so I'm really curious to see what I think now.

The 12 Week Year by Brian P. Moran
Next non-fiction read.

Black Water Sister by Zen Cho
Tentatively my next read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Malaysia. Excited about this one as I've heard good things and, due to my challenge constraints of wanting a book set in the country as well as by somebody from there, I've not had much in the way of SFF, so I'm glad to throw something different into the mix.

"Cultish" sounds both fascinating and frightening.

It was super interesting! And actually not *too* frightening ;)
