Just managed to make my monthly word count goal, so I'm happy about that, though I'd low-key been hoping for more. But with my higher levels of exhaustion (heavily influenced by fluctuating levels of anxiety, depression, and general sense of languishing) it just wasn't happening. Frustrating because I've had a LOT of free time to write, and times were I was literally SO bored just lying on the couch wanting something to do, and writing would have been perfect, but it's also not just something that I can make happen if I'm not in the right headspace.

FEBRUARY ROUND-UP

• Wincest Weed!Fic: went through beta edits, did final read-through, and posted! You can read it here!


• hpdarkarts My Bloody Valentine's Fest: drafted, sent to/got back from beta, went through final edits, and posted! You can read it here!


• Wincest Shotgunning Fic:went through initial read-through, sent to (and got back from!) beta!


• SamJack Fic: finished draft and went through initial edits.


• S14 Wincest: outlined and wrote initial draft.


• Wincest Does New Mexico: finished draft.


• Wincest Panty!Kink: wrote a couple of paragraphs.


• Possible 2022 hpkinktober: finished first scene and wrote the second.


• hp-nextgen-fest: claimed a prompt, outlined, and started drafting.

MARCH GOALS

March Word Count Goal: 15,000

This seems to generally be a pretty achievable monthly word count for me, one that allows a decent amount of leeway for the days/weeks where I'm just not as productive. Honestly, if I stuck to an average of 15k a month for the rest of the year, I'll be just over my yearly word count goal, so that all works out for me!

March Fics to Focus On

• Dream!Fic - HP: go through initial edits.


• Wincest Sex Pollen: go through initial edits.


• Wincest Does New Mexico: go through initial edits.


• S14 Wincest: go through initial edits.


• SamJack Fic: send to beta.


• Wincest Season Codas: lowkey aiming to write one episode-specific coda/missing scene for every season, and so far I'm at 8/15. I just started a rewatch of Season 2, so hopefully something will spark!


• Wincest Panty!Kink: I'm a good 2/3 of the way done with this one and I'd love to finish it this month before I settle on my season 2 coda idea and work on that.


• Possible 2022 hpkinktober: I'd like to write at least two scenes this month.


• hp-nextgen-fest: finish first draft.

Upcoming Fics / Stuff on the back-burner

• Fics Awaiting Beta: I've got several fics awaiting beta Vampire!Wincest, A Relationship Unravels - HP, & Wincest 5+1. I will likely get at least one of these back in March, in which case I'll pull it into the month, but otherwise they are on the back-burner until their triumphant return to my inbox!


• Drarry Long!Fic: I do want to finish this at some point in 2022, but I don't know if I'm ready to look at it yet.


• Wincest Size!Kink: not a high priority, but something to come back to at some point.


• Sterek!AU: I think I might need to just accept that this is just not happening right now. I've got it outlined but I need to rewatch the movie inspiration to refine, and I've just not been in the mood.


• Taking Chances Sequel: on indefinite hiatus. I've got several pages worth of ideas for the sequel, but it's in no cohesive plot form, and IDK if it'll ever come to life.


• Pile O' Plot Bunnies: I currently have a list of over 20 concrete plot bunny ideas. Some of things I'll try and incorporate into fests or daily deviant themes. Some are sequels or codas to existing fics of mine. There are a couple of ideas here that I REALLY want to write at some point, so I'm always keeping an eye out for a good opportunity to prioritize one of my ideas.
