Another somewhat lackluster writing month, but I actually managed more words than March, so that's progress? I also still managed to check off the main things on my to-do list, even if I didn't get to do much else.

APRIL ROUND-UP

• S14 Wincest: went through beta edits, did final read-through, and posted! You can read it here!


• Wincest Does New Mexico: went through initial edits.


• Wincest S2: finished first draft.


• Wincest S3: outlined and finished first draft.


• Gift!Fic: finished first draft and sent to beta.


• Dream!Fic - HP: went through initial edits.


• Possible 2022 hpkinktober: wrote part of a scene.


• hp-nextgen-fest: went through initial edits and sent to beta.

MAY GOALS

May Word Count Goal: 10,000

Hoping this will be manageable in May, but we'll see! I don't have a ton on my plate in terms of active projects, but I do have a couple of vague plot bunnies, and I'll probably look into pulling one of those in this month as well if I can muster the enthusiasm.

May Fics to Focus On

• Fics Ready for Beta: Dream!Fic - HP, Wincest Sex Pollen, SamJack Fic, & Wincest Does New Mexico


• Fics to Edit: Wincest Panty!Kink, Wincest S2, & Wincest S3


• hp-nextgen-fest: go through beta edits, do final read-through, and submit!


• Gift!Fic: go through beta edits, do final read-through, and post!


• Wincest Season Codas: lowkey aiming to write one episode-specific coda/missing scene for every season, and so far I'm at 10/15. I'm currently doing a rewatch of S4, and I'd like to decide on an idea, outline, and ideally write the first draft in May.


• Possible 2022 hpkinktober: I'd like to at least finish the current scene, and ideally write at least one other.

Upcoming Fics / Stuff on the back-burner

• Fics Awaiting Beta: I've got several fics with beta--spn_j2_bigbang, A Relationship Unravels - HP, & Wincest 5+1--that are lower-priority since there's no deadline. I will possibly get at least one of these back in May, in which case I'll pull it into the month, but otherwise they are on the back-burner until their triumphant return to my inbox!


• Drarry Long!Fic: I do want to finish this at some point in 2022, but I don't know if I'm ready to look at it yet.


• Wincest Size!Kink: this might be one I pull into May if I can figure out a couple of questions that I need to answer before I can continue


• Sterek!AU: I think I might need to just accept that this is just not happening right now. I've got it outlined but I need to rewatch the movie inspiration to refine, and I've just not been in the mood.


• Taking Chances Sequel: on indefinite hiatus. I've got several pages worth of ideas for the sequel, but it's in no cohesive plot form, and IDK if it'll ever come to life.


• Pile O' Plot Bunnies: I currently have a list of over 20 concrete plot bunny ideas. Some of things I'll try and incorporate into fests or daily deviant themes. Some are sequels or codas to existing fics of mine. There are a couple of ideas here that I REALLY want to write at some point, so I'm always keeping an eye out for a good opportunity to prioritize one of my ideas.
