Y'all, this month was even rougher than I anticipated on the writing front. My muse has migrated south for the winter. Seasonal (lol, maybe just regular?) depression has hit hard, and I've just been feeling really anxious and overwhelmed and really not in a space to create to be honest. November has been rough.

NOVEMBER ROUND-UP

• Drarry Long!Fic: continued drafting scene.


• brobonebang creature edition:  finished draft, sent to & got back from beta, finished edits, and posted! You can read it here.


• November smpc: sent to & got back from beta, did final read-through, and posted! You can read it here.


• SPN Gift Exchange: I'm doing a double blind gift exchange with some SPN friends that's due towards the end of the December. I got my assignment at the end of November and I decided on a direction and outlined.

DECEMBER GOALS

December Word Count Goal: 15,000

I'm nowhere near my final WC goal, and if I want to hit my day goal I'll need to essentially write every day in December... Fun! I don't see coming close to 15k, but who knows, maybe inspo will strike? Maybe?

December Fics to Focus On

• Drarry Gift!Fic Sequel: find/send to beta.


• SPN Gift Exchange: I'm doing a double blind gift exchange with some SPN friends that's due towards the end of the month.


• brobonebang round 3: this was supposed to be announced mid-November, but the mod's gone MIA. Hopefully all is well with them, and it'll be announced this month. If so, I'm planning to take part, inspiration willing.


• Drarry Long!Fic: I've come to the realization that I really need to reread my whole fic to get back in the mindset of these characters, since I'm really in the last 15k of a ~75k fic. I just have not had the spoons or time to reread (and inevitable edit) the 65k or so I've got written. Now that Erised proofing is mostly finished, I'm hoping I might be able to tackle that this month.


• Wincest Season Codas: lowkey aiming to write one episode-specific coda/missing scene for every season, and so far I'm at 14/15. The final season I need to coda-fy is S15, and I'm just now at the end of S13 for my rewatch. 50/50 on if I get to S15 this month, but if I do, I'll keep an eye out for a coda opportunity.


• Fics to Send to Beta: SamJack Fic, Soulless!Sam Plane!Sex, Wincest & Puppy Play, CainDean!Fic, & Wincest Panty!Kink.

Upcoming Fics / Stuff on the back-burner

• Fics Awaiting Beta: Wincest 5+1--lower-priority since there's no deadline. It's unlikely I'll get it back in December, but if I do, I'll pull it in. Otherwise it's on the back-burner until its triumphant return to my inbox!


• Samulet Journey: this fic is a bit of a mess with no real point/direction. On the back-burner until I decide what to do with it.


• The First Time: this is also on the backburner. Not super called to write this one at the moment.


• Possible 2023 hpkinktober: need to evaluate if this is gonna happen. I had grand plans to write this before October 2022, but it never came together.


• Sterek!AU: I think I might need to just accept that this is just not happening right now. I've got it outlined but I need to rewatch the movie inspiration to refine, and I've just not been in the mood.


• Taking Chances Sequel: on indefinite hiatus. I've got several pages worth of ideas for the sequel, but it's in no cohesive plot form, and IDK if it'll ever come to life.


• Pile O' Plot Bunnies: I currently have a list of over 20 concrete plot bunny ideas. Some of things I'll try and incorporate into fests or daily deviant themes. Some are sequels or codas to existing fics of mine. There are a couple of ideas here that I REALLY want to write at some point, so I'm always keeping an eye out for a good opportunity to prioritize one of my ideas.
