What I'm Reading

What did you recently finish reading?

The Selected Works of Audre Lorde by Audre Lorde
Most recent non-fiction read, and I thought it was solid overall, but not my most favorite of her collections.

Daniel Cabot Puts Down Roots (The Cabots #3) by Cat Sebastian
Recent MM romance read and I thought it was solid! Some quibbles overall, but generally I quite enjoy this author.

Sarajevo Blues by Semezdin Mehmedinović
Next read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Bosnia & Herzegovina. A collection of poetry and short stories/vignettes that were written/take place during the Serbian nationalists' siege of Sarajevo that I thought was really powerful and beautifully done.

Alastair (Sons of the Fallen Book 7) by Jaclyn Osborn
Recent MM romance read and the finale of a 7 book series that has been lacklustre, and yet I can't stop reading. Kind of glad it's over, lol.

What are you currently reading?

Lost & Found: A Memoir by Kathryn Schulz
Current non-fiction read.

The Scholomance Trilogy by Naomi Novik
Read book 2 this week, and planning to finish off the trilogy in the coming week!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Avocado Anxiety and Other Stories About Where Your Food Comes From by Louise Gray
Next nonfiction read.

A Brief History of Seven Killings by Marlon James
Next read for my Around the World Reading Challenge for Jamaica.

Stick Shift (Big Bull Mechanics Book 3) by K.M. Neuhold
Next MM romance read.

Ooooh, Scholomance!! I have read the first two books, and I received the third for Christmas (haven't read it yet because I don't want the trilogy to end! So I'm saving it for a bit.) The first two were SO much fun. . .the anti-Harry Potter. I'll look forward to your opinions.

Yeah, I'm excited to read the conclusion! I've heard some mixed things about it, so I'm a bit nervous because there's nothing worse than an amazing series with a disappointing conclusion, but I'm hopeful I'll fall in the "Loved it!" camp!
